Hi everyone I'm looking for ideas on how to make an altenator wind turbine to charge a bank of 10-? Batteries first is how to make a car alternator with a built-in voltage regulator wiring to charge the batteries and stop charging the batteries when they are full and when they get low start charging them up again the easy part is the fan blade to the altenator the second easy part is wiring the batteries in sequence to stay at 12volt system (positive to positive and negative to negative in how ever many batteries you choose for your winter and summer and seasons. I have found that we can get 12v heater for warmth and fans and airconditioners all that run off 12v systems and the best thing is we do not have to tap into the power grid /house breaker system. Also 12v lights can be used. It is a good way to keep warm and cool and dry when said power grid goes down even in a storm or a going off the grid (pune joke intended ) in a mobile home or a camper also. You can even use the heating ducts to help serculate the air. With alternator ones power needs are met with very little footprint or noticeably. One or two would or should be enough to produce the homes needs with management. So the first 2 questions are as followed 1 what is the simplest way to wire the alternator so it won't over charge the batteries without a blade brake? 2. How to protect the system from an EMP and or a solar flare. Should there be a backup system complete with batteries be put in a Faraday cage. And of course a few backup alternators. That is the jest of the topic and would like as much feedback as possible. The how to wire with a built-in voltage regulator is the first how to. Thank you for your time and this I feel makes for a good topic discussion as always Matt AKA DDP This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
