So cute CAT tests positive for COVID-19. Awwwwww
Just one week after the pet owner in Liege, Belgium was diagnosed with Covid-19,
their cat also started showing symptoms of the disease, including respiratory problems and diarrhea.
The first recorded Dog testing positive for COVID-19 was a Pomeranian, on February 28.
Experts from the University of Hong Kong, City University and the World Organization for Animal Health "unanimously agreed"
that the test results reflected a plausible case of human-to-animal transmission.
The dog was quarantined on February 26 but sadly died on March 16.
A German shepherd living in the Pok Fu Lam area on Hong Kong Island tested positive for COVID-19.
The owner was infected with the Chinese Virus and passed it on to the pet. The dog is now in quarantine.
The good news is, nearly all pets do not contract COVID-19 from their owners. To be safe though, if you are infected,
consider "distancing", wearing a mask when near the pet, or have a person care for them while you recover. Pets are precious!
