We’ve put aside a substantial amount of wheat because it stores forever, it is inexpensive and can provide for basic nutrition.
Our plans include a means to turn that wheat into food.
First we need a way to grind that wheat into flour, with or without the benefit of electricity.
Once we’ve got flour we need the know-how to make bread dough.
Then of course we need an oven. In the absence of electricity or gas a wood fired oven is handy.
The finished product makes all the work worthwhile. Slathered with butter and washed down with a dry red wine………mmmmmmm.
Preparedness calls for practice so that when the curtain goes up you’ll be all set, besides the bread is so tasty.
