I'm not quite getting why there are flu shots for regular folks and then seniors. My experience with the senior flu shot last October has definitely made me feel that I will NEVER have another one. We are required to have the flu shot at work (nursing home). I got the shot around 4pm. Driving home I started feeling abnormally tired. I ate after getting home and thought, I am going to bed, I am exhausted for some odd reason. I laid down and Holy Cow, I couldn't breathe. At all. Up I got and nervously paced. Thinking that was some fluke I tried again 30 mins. later. I absolutely could not breathe. It was bad enough that I had phone in hand to call 911. I could breathe ok sitting up or standing. I finally fell asleep sitting up in my recliner. Following morning I was fine. I no longer work at the nursing home and will never get a senior flu shot again!! And, oh goody!! A new version is out!!
