There are several good videos on u-tube on this topic. If you have never done it before... in a bad situation is not a good time to learn. You can buy regular suture kits with the needle and thread ready to go from veterinarian supply places. on amazon or even the walmart website. Right now their not to expensive but after an event they will be another item that is difficult come by. If you can't find a hurt friend that will let you practice on them pick up a ham with the skin still on it. pig skin is close to sewing up people. I also keep a couple bottles of the liquid type anbesol like you use for tooth pain. put right on the wound it will give you local numbing to make it easier to sew someone up.
